Privacy Policy

podhead is built with privacy as a default, not an afterthought. Here's the short version: we collect almost nothing, we sell nothing — apart from the fully unlocked app features — and we don't run ads.

What we collect

podhead uses TelemetryDeck for privacy-friendly, anonymous usage analytics. TelemetryDeck does not collect personally identifiable information. We see aggregate, anonymous signals like "a search happened" or "a download completed" — never who did it or what they searched for. No IP addresses are stored. No device fingerprinting occurs.

What we don't collect

We do not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, browsing history, listening history, or any other personal information. We do not track which podcasts you subscribe to or which episodes you listen to. All your podcast data — subscriptions, downloads, favorites, playlists, transcripts — lives on your device and nowhere else.

Third-party services

podhead connects to the Apple iTunes Search API to help you find podcasts and to podcast RSS feeds to fetch episode listings. These connections are made directly from your device. We do not proxy, log, or store these requests.

If you purchase the full unlock, the transaction is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not see or store your payment information.

Speech recognition

The transcription feature uses on-device speech recognition provided by Apple's frameworks. Audio is processed locally on your device and is not sent to any server — ours or anyone else's.

Data storage

All app data is stored locally on your device. We do not operate servers that store your data. If you delete the app, all data is deleted with it.

Children's privacy

podhead does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app does not require an account or any personal information to use.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new "last updated" date. We will not introduce personal data collection without clear notice.

How do I become a beta tester?

Email support@podhead.co and we'll send you a TestFlight invite. That's it.

What features are available to beta testers?

All of them. Beta testers get the fully unlocked app — every feature, no restrictions.

Do I have to pay during the beta?

No. Beta testing is completely free and all app features are unlocked. When podhead launches on the App Store, the full unlock will be a one-time $5 purchase.
